Well I've been suspicious of a lot of these YouTube video themes like this where everybody and their momma has a video about the same thing (how to grow your hair longer faster etc.) so yeah I would say that these videos are a part of a formula to get views. Pay that ignorant sounding girl and anybody else like her no mind.

I did it once. I had a split that looked like it was dead center of the strand and curiosity got the better of me. So I pulled it apart right up to the root. It hurt like the devil so I never did it again.
