It seems that when I do a pull down test of my hair in its shrunken state,my hair appears longer than when it is actually straightened-has anyone else been baffled by this?

Me too! When I flat iron my hair (straightened now) I think "I could have sworn it was at least 1 inch longer!"

Oh well....

I agree. My hair fools me too, when I roller set it. It appears 4-inches shorter than when pulled down uncurled. Go figure! Bonjour

i promise we are on the same wave length even when my hair is straight if i pull it it looks longer see pic #60 in my album i can never seem to get it "straight enough"

I don't think that when we pull it we are getting the true length.

In order for your hair to be at the length that it is when you pull it, it would have to be stick straight like typical Asian type hair and be heavy enough to stretch out to it's complete length.

Sorta like a rubber band. It is a certain length, but when streched it's longer. It can't be at it's strecthed length without something pulling on it.
