Is LHCF making me a bad sister?

Ok, so its been six months since my last relaxer. And I want to keep strecthing to eventually transition. My sister is getting married in March and I am the maid of honor, so I HAVE to do something with my hair. Am I wrong for not wanting to do anything with my hair that will take me back down the chemical path? I just feel like, if she weren't getting married so soon in the year that I can keep in stretching...do I have any options? Can I keep stretching but still look nice come her wedding day?

Of course you can stretch and look nice for the wedding! You can have bone straight strands or do something curly. Just go get your hair done and styled up cute, no need to use chemicals!
Why does chemicals = nice hair 'do??

You can roller set your hair and flatiron the NG - it won't even be apparent that you have two textures going on. Won't interfere with your stretch at all!

You're not a bad sister - I wouldn't change my routine or use chemicals just for somebody else's wedding - even my sister's.

Why can't you just flat iron or roller set? Maybe even a sew-in?

You could always go to the dominican salon and have a blow out done and still look nice and not mess up your transition.

I agree with everyone else....noe chemicals needed you can wig it, weave it, braid it, flat iron it, up do it....honey its your world! ;)

Like the other posters said, you can still have your hair looking great at the wedding. My step-sister chose to have her natural hair straightened for the wedding and it looked great.

There are definitely styling options for your hair. As the ladies have mentioned, you can flat iron, rollerset or get a weave. Or you can even try flat twist in the front. Many people rave about Sabino Moisture Block, this may help keep your NG straight if this is what you are worried about.

This is such an amazing community of girls...I have never stretched this far before, so I really thought I'd have to slap on a relaxer or texturizer to attend. I think I'll just wash, rollerset, and have the NG flat ironed!! THAT SIMPLE BEANS...DUH!! Thank you ladies!!
