is it really possible to have a happy ending when you have had such a troubled past??

Hi,

Is anyone in a relationship or had a relationship where they had a troubled past with trust issues and infidelities but has been able to come out and be happy with each other in the end. Or do you know anyone that has had it rough in the past with their relationship but has been happy in the end and thought it was all worth it.

I love my bf but we have a past which is quite hard to overcome, just wanted some advice or a bit of insight from people who have been in the same situation.
