I've read that it is actually better to use it than the extra virgin because the extra virgin is so raw that it can cause allergies in certain individuals over time.
I don't think you'll have any adversed effects from using the olive oil, but I thhink most people prefer the EVOO because it's supposed to have more of the natural "goodness" left in it.
I'm not sure about that one. I've used regular olive oil and had the same results as my EV. I use whatever's on hand, and regular is often better for cooking than EV. I hope I'm not hurting my tresses.
Coming from a women who used to cook professionally and watches cooking shows for enjoyment EVOO is just lighter in consistency and thats it. I use either.
