Im currently in Kuwait and I workout 5 days a week. So after my workouts I am cowashing using pantene prov relaxed and natural conditioner then adding leave in conditioner and pulling it back into bobby pins(its a little longer than my avatar but ponytail is too short to look cute lol!). Is it okay for rme to be cowashing 5 days a week then letting it airdry like that??

If it works for you then keep at it! :)

Some peoples hair thrive with frequent co-washes and then there are those who's hair can't handle too much manipulation.

Btw be careful with the pantene R&N. It contains a lot of cones so make sure you clarify regularly to prevent build up.

What are cones?

My hair loooves co-washes. I do them daily. And I dont use ANY heat on my hair so it always airdries. But everyone's hair is different. If you're hair is responding well to the co-washes then I wouldn't worry about it.

I did it for a couple of years and my hair thrived. But I didn't use cones. Some people have hair that does fine with them, though.

Here's an article on silicones.

Everyone is different. Cowashing for me is a no no. My hair will dry and break. I do have a question for you OP......in the millitary what are your hair restrictions? Can you have long hair? Can you wear braids, wigs, or weaves?

I wash AND co-wash daily and have done so for YEARS.

WITH and WITHOUT cones with no ill effects.

I have done this NATURAL, RELAXED, and "TEXLAXED with no ill effects.

Oh yeah girl I wear em all lol! You just cant have any hair hangin all in your face while in uniform and it cannot hang below the collar in uniform.

Here is some info I saved a while back regarding daily co washing..

It depends on the hair type and texture. Very kinky to curly hair tends to be drier. If your hair is natural — no chemical process has been added to your hair — it's OK to rinse it everyday in the shower as long as a light conditioner is used, says Tyama Arawole, a natural hair care consultant with clients in Washington, D.C., and New York.

"Natural hair loves water, but it's still important to keep it protected," she says. The extra curly hair cuticle — or outer layer — makes it more difficult for the oil secreted from the scalp to reach the ends of the hair, so don't forget to moisturize the hair, she says.

For relaxed hair — chemically processed for a straighter look — washing the hair once weekly is recommended. That's why it's important to lay off the heavy, petrolatum-based (petroleum jelly) products, Alexis says. "Excessive washing can dry out relaxed hair, but you don't want to weigh it down with heavy product," he adds. Use light moisturizers and avoid excessive heat. And when you do wash it, make sure you use a deep conditioner.

HTH
