...LeKair Cholesterol Plus Strengthening and Conditioning Cream (orange color)??? Or is it too thick???

I wouldn't. Seems like it may be a little to "heavy" to use as a Co-Wash. I didn't care for the Lekair products at all! Let us know if you decide to give it a go. Maybe you will luck out!

yeah, i did a search on here and saw just a few people who have co-washed with lekairs or lustrasilk but never found out how that worked with their hair. but thanks for your response. i think i'm just go back to Suave Humectant or try out that Herbal Essences Replenishing Conditioner. :yep:

I have use the Herbal Essence when I used to do co washes! This is a good option for that purpose! I used the one in the purple bottle! The smell is delicioius too!!!!!!

I use Lustrasilk cholesterol--I use it every few days. What I do is rinse my hair v. well or shampoo then I apply it put plastic shower cap, bathe and comb and rinse.

I haven't had trouble with build-up and I have been using cholesterol for several months now.

I try not to leave it on for more than 5-7 minutes or else my hair will feel over conditioned.

Heavy creams and heavy moisturizing conditioners are NOT good for co-washes. You need to use a thinner conditioner that will loosen the built up sebum on your scalp. They usually have more surfactants that cleanse as oppose to the heavier creams. It you like a heavy cream (not too much protein too often), use the thinner conditioner to wash for a few minutes then put some of the heavier cream on top and leave it on a little longer before rinsing.

U use the Lekair Cholestoral mixed w/ olive oil for deep conditioning. I think that its took heavy for your hair to do a CO wash with. Maybe try something that has a thinnner consistency but still gives good moisture and slip to the hair. HTH

Hey Poohbear, I tried the LeKair Cholesteral for my last conditioner wash (I do them daily) and it came out rather good, my hair was strong and soft. Just make sure that you rinse it out thoroughly though. ;)!

Hey ladies...I returned my LeKair Cholesterol Plus at the bss, and I decided to buy Herbal Essences Fruit Fusions Hydrating Conditioner (purplish bottle with blackberry, avocado, & mango) from Kroger to use as a conditioner wash. ;)

I've used it for that purpose and it worked for me. Its not something I would CO wash with all the time.

I wouldn't suggest that use it for a co wash Poohbear. I do however use this as a pre-poo and deep conditioning treatment. :yep:

Looking good Netta1. ;)
