Is it OK to use ORS Mayo everytime you shampoo?

I love the way it makes my hair feel. I've been using it almost everytime I wash my hair--so far so good. But I was wondering if this is a good idea or not. Does anyone have any opinions on this?

ive used this every week before and it didnt do any damage. Its not a heavy treatment so it should be ok. If you think it willbe too much just use it every two weeks instead.

I use it every week on my oldest dd's hair.

Her hair loves it. Well, I use the Organics Hair mayo. Cheaper version.

Her hair loves the protein.

I plan to use it once a week until the mositure in my hair is replenished. My hair likes protein though.

Thanks for responding ladies. My hair loves protein too. I find that when I use just an ultra moisturizing conditioner, that my hair tends to be so soft that there is more breakage when I comb it out after. So I always like to get a little of both protein and moisture when I wash my hair. So far this really works for me, and since I started using ORS Mayo, my hair feels so soft, but not mushy. :)

I think it does. I've tried ORS and Parnevue Hair Mayo. I got the Organics version from someone's fotki album, years ago. I love it for her hair. I wll stray to other types of conditioners, but always go back to it.

I even use it as a hair dressing if I have to redo the hair during the week, you know like a pre poo.

Try it. It is much cheaper, I just add my coconut oil/olive oil like I used to with ORS and slather it on after a shampoo. Leaves her hair strong, but soft. Like someone else said a pure moisturizing conditioner makes her hair too soft. But the hair mayo does wonders.

I find myself wanting to use the ORS replenishing pak with every wash... nothing gives me great CONSITENT results like it. I would just say closely monitor your hair for buildup and try to alternate

Pre-pooing with it sounds like a good idea. I may try that next time I wash my hair.

I've been wondering about that line, but I've never tried any of it. I'll definitely try it now.

That's true, I've been meaning to get some more clarifying shampoo. That should help prevent build-up.

Thanks for the suggestions. :)
