Is it just me or now since i have joined the hair boards, when I get a compliment on my hair it has a whole new meaning???
This lady just complimented me on my weight loss I was liek "Yeah thanks" I was not reallyb thrilled about it then she said "And your hair is just getting so pretty, it is so thick I love it when u wear it with those loos curls" Ladies i looked like I had just won the lotto....I was just grinning and going on about what I have been doing with my hair...I bet she was like this girl is nuts!!!

People around here have even started asking me hair questions around here!!! I feel so honored!
It is all thanks to you

No....it's not just you...
A lady in my office mentioned last week that my hair was really growing...
I was ooh,ooh really? Then I shook my hair and started acting all silly...
She then said jokingly 'Well it ought to be with all the products you are always buying...'

I have to admit, I have received so many compliments on my hair in the past month my head was spinning

Even when I go to the salon, people ask me what products I'm using, and since I always bring my own, I just show them.

It just goes to show that I must be doing something right

Yes Tonya, the hair is way more important than the weight. Congratulations on improving both.

I got a complement from my aunt the other day. She always have said diry remarks about me being natural. Shes always have called me nappy head and tell me i need a perm. So the other day I was doing my hair and she said wow Cassandra, you hair has gotten even longer. Maybe I should go natural. So soon there might be another natural head in my family.

I really like how this disproves the Andre Myth (that 4A-C hair texture doesn't grow).

However, I must say that separating black people into whose mixed or not and who has "unmixed hair" is really unnecessary and to a degree offensive (to me).

This is a lovely forum where we all talk about our hair (relaxed or natural) and I really hate to see even the slightest comments that segregate us.

And yes, I understand you were trying to emphasize that her/their hair was 4A-4C, but it is the way in which it was said.

Also, the comment about Jamaican women's hair being short was also unnecessary. I know many Jamaican women with long hair and not all of them are "coolie" or lightskinned or mixed.

Please let's stop the stereotyping.

I agree. My mother is Jamaican and is black and she had long waist length hair at one point. I honestly feels that Andre is full of crap along with his hair types.

Also, I know so many woman with coarse hair that is long. for example, The girl from 702, Irish, her hair is long and she is black.
