Is it impossible...to do kinky twists on relaxed hair?

I've been feeling the look for quite a while now and would luv to try it out this summer. I've been hearing that the extentions don't hold well to relaxed hair though.

I've been inspired by seeing people like Laila Ali, Kelis, and Beyonce (in "Fighting Temptations") sport them.

Yes, I'm relaxed and have had kinky twist before. I twisted my daughter's hair a couple months ago with Marley Braid Hair.

That's great! I was thinking of buying the "Braids by Breslin" DVD to learn how to do the twists myself. Upon surfing the 'net a little, I've also heard some buzz about Marley hair.

I'm hoping that if I can't do them on my own hair, I'll be able to do them on my daughters (in the future). She's about 15 months now, and barely has any hair. People are always mistaking her for a boy. I'd love to be able to give her some cute styles as she gets older, as well as really care for her hair.

yep, u can do them on relaxed hair. Just don't make the parts to big or small, start of like u are braiding to get a nice grip(not for long though) and then start 2strand twisting.

Go for it!

ps--girl, don't worry about people mistaking her for a boy! She is beautful. My 2 yr. old has a head full of twists w/ 2 barretts and people will half look at her and call her a boy. *smh*
