Is heat the key to swinging hair??? Every thread I see of people with gorgeous hair whenever I see their routine somewhere they have heat in there. Either a blow dryer somewhere or a flat iron. Whenever I view the hair albums the shots of the silky shiny hair is usually after they have flat ironed the hair. :Flahsssss Is heat the key?????? Is this what most people are doing to get their hair swinging??? :scratchch God bless you all.

My hair swings with or without heat whether it's a wash and go or rollerset, but it'll swing more with heat because that's the only way for me to get my hair stick straight. I dunno, but I find that really straight hair is lighter and swings all over the place.

Not for me. When I airdry my rollerset I get more swing. It also probably depends on the products you use.

heat is the key for swinging hair for me! :weird: I use a blowdryer for swinging hair. When I rollerset my hair, I would just have soft, bouncy hair. But when I blowdry straight, I get the soft swing with my hair. I also think it depends on what products you use which should be kept at a minimum. :yep:

I air dry, mostly in roller sets then I'll wrap. I always have tons of bounce. It definitely depends on what size rollers you use also. If you use rollers that are too big, your wrap will fall quicker.

Less products is the key for me!
I think maybe length is also a factor on how much swing you can have... Don't know but, the less product, the lighter the hair, the more ability to swing!

According to the info I read earlier this week in a thread about Dominican salon tips, it says the key to swinging hair is to let your rollerset dry slowly - 50 minutes or more.

You might want to try that.
