Is God Enough For you?

Honestly, no. That's why I sometimes go elsewhere...but wherever I go, He shows me yet another miracle of how He's in that brilliant sky too. A good life is mundane lol...boring at times...and you wonder what the heck you're doing with it while the sinners are having fun .

Several weeks ago, I was having a crisis of faith and stopped going to Mass as faithfully as we should. I went to pow wow instead. But I know that we dance to honor God. This big bald eagle showed up...a sign of prayer lifting up to heaven and God's presence. In fact, it was 2 of them. Many people saw them. We're sitting there and one of the dancers does the war dance (don't think murder but protection of family and of life etc.) and about when he got to our side of the circle, he looked right at me and announced loudly "Tunkashila!" "God the Father" in Lakota (actually, Grandfather but you get the gist)...I guess he was a Lakota but it's interesting I know this word. I nearly jumped out of my seat...almost felt like a baptism of fire and I was filled with joy! I had not run to nowhereland looking to be fulfilled by other than Him...but right to His embrace. I'll never forget that moment.

So, yes, sometimes it feels like God isn't enough to make me happy at times...but He always has a way to pull it all around and show me yet another layer of the miraculous and wonderful, grounded in Him and what He has created. I fell ya, I certainly do.

Ty for this post. Lately I haven't been acting as though this were true. I've let all the meaningless clamor of life distract me. I don't think I meant to, but I began to love the world and by comparison, hate my eternal father. I def. need to get on the right track.
He's the foundation and without him, my house falls every-time.

I believe we need God AND people in our lives.

In Genesis Adam was in the midst of God’s Presence, yet, he felt lonely and knew that something was missing from his life. In Genesis it states that it’s not good for man to be alone. And God created Eve, a companion for Adam.

Also, Jesus needed his disciples to pray with him in the garden of Gethsemane. In Timothy, God sent Titus to comfort His people.

With that said, we need God and each other to survive. God gave us all gifts and talents not for our own pleasures but to help, minister, comfort, encourage, and to love one another.

IMO life is so much better when you have God and loving people around you.

I enjoy the social and service organizations that I’m apart of because it helps me to operate in my gifts from the Lord. As well as, practice the second greatest commandment - Love your neighbor. My spiritual growth comes from being in healthy, positive relationships and activities.

I will never profess that I’ve done everything on my own, with my bible and God. God sent people in my life to help me in every area of it. And I’m truly grateful.

If God was truly enough, I don’t think that Adam would have experienced loneliness and a desire to be around human beings. He would have been fine with the animals and God’s presence.
