I'm asking because I surge daily, and use lekair or lustrasilk deep conditioner when I wash my hair I use the reconstructor every other wash. I'm wondering if this is too much protein?
I don't know for sure, but I think most (if not all) Aphogee protein treatments are strong. I think that you might want to cut it down to once a month or once every 5-6 weeks.
Is this the one in the white bottle with red letters that you are talking about (Aphogee Keratin 2 minute reconstructor)?????-- then no, this is not considered a strong protein treatment... it is mild but I would still try to add another moisturizing conditioner in your rotation b/c both surge and the cholesterol have keratin protein in them as well (although the choles. has very little amount of protein). HTH
I use this every week mixed with Silk Elements Mega Cholesterol conditioner and today i added Surge Woojee Cream and i noticed the difference. My hair came out so much softer with just adding the Woojee Cream to my mixture. But other than that, i would say Aphogee Keratin Reconstructor is considered a mild protein treatment.
char, i agree with blackbutterflyz... it's not the strong treatment, but you may need to follow up the protein with some moisture. as you know, sometimes too much protein can make the hair brittle and cause breakage. so be careful...
what do you think is causing the breakage? are you doing something different with your hair lately? i think it's more important to figure out exactly what the problem is in order to decide the best solution...
