I noticed since I have been using the hairveda that my hair is turning a reddish color..now it doesnt bother me at all but i was thinking that it maybe the lemon causing my hair to get lighter, like a natural lightner...
I dunno..is this happining to anyone else...?

I think my hair has. See my avatar? That of course is with a flash though. In normal light it looks brown. I was told in another thread that it's gotten a little lighter because it was damaged. I don't think I buy that theory.. Maybe it's the sun? My dd's hair has natural highlights that i'm attributing to the sun since she plays all day in school.

I've gotten red highlights in my hair every summer since I was younger. I've heard a lot of theories about changes in hair color due to damage (sun damage, heat damage, etc.) But I'm definitely no expert on that, especially if someone has healthy hair practices and still notices a change in color.

But OP, I use HairVeda products too, and I know that on some of the products there are notes that say you may notice a change in your hair color due to the henna extract that is used in the products. The lemon extract may have something to do with that as well.

I am hardly out in the sun and i wear a hat when i do go out or a scarf most times so i doubt its that, and damage? hmmm..all i do is DC and Buns...so i dont think that is what could be causing our gair to get lighter..

You know I noticed in one of my pictures in my fotki that my hair was really, really, really reddish brown. Meaning more reddish brown than usual. My hair has been this way all my life. I've been asked many times what dye do I use. Um nothing, its my natural color. In the summer time you can really notice it bc I work in recreation so I'm outdoors visiting camps a lot. Anyways I use vatika frosting as a prepoo 2x/wk so depending on my schedule that could be 1-2 hours or overnight. I guess that means my hair will be really red this upcoming summer.
