Is it bad. I dont think it is.:look: My hair is pretty healthly:grin:.My hair is a natural medium brown with golden brown highlights. When I go under the dryer for an hour or so it gets lighter. It doesnt really bother me. I kinda like it:lachen: But does this happen to you? Do you think this is good or bad?

hmm... well my wet / damp hair is always a few shades darker than my 100% dry hair. i doubt its anything to worry about.

now if every time you flat iron, your ends go from blue black to brown, then you have a problem

I think it happens to me as well. I always thought it might have been a combination of the chemicals from the relaxers mixed with the sun, though. My hair is dark brown with streaks of varying colors. People always ask me if I have colored my hair, and I have never. I love it though!

Yes.... As the moisture is being removed it will lighten. When I had highlights they would look darker (like a lighter brown) when my hair was wet or I let it airdry with gel. But if I blowdried it it looked like a golden blonde hay.

I think that heat or straightening the hair might show your hair's lighter color. When I was relaxed I thought the lighter color might be due to the relaxers and sun damage. When I went natural my hair seemed to darken up, and so I thought I had been right. But when I straightened my hair the other week I saw that I have subtle brown streaks in my hair that are normally hidden when it's curly.

You can also kind of see it in this pic of my hair after I used a blow dryer to diffuse it.

Sorry if the pics are too big.

I wholeheartedly believe it does. I think the relaxers with heat added does too. Back when I was using a lot of heat, my hair was some weird light brown red color:

but girl, look at my actual color after I went natural and used heat waaaay less:
