How is it working out for you? Where can I get Rosemary Oil in New York?

I'm not using Rosemary OIL but I did buy some dried Rosemary and Sage and plan to simmer the dried herbs in distilled water and add it to my hair rinse and maybe to the hair tonic I just bought.

I was in Kings Plaza shopping mall in Brooklyn yesterday and they had a rosemary rinse for the after-shampoo. It is the same stuff they use at the Dominican salons and works great for me. It is produced in the Dominican Republic. I honestly do not remember the name, however it is a green and white generic looking bottle that says Rosemary Rinse. The smell is really refreshing.

HoneyRockette,
A week after I bought the WGO, I bought a small bottle of Rosemary Oil (Expensive little bottle too!!) to cut the smell of the WGO. The rosemary is extremely oily, so a little goes a long way. What I do is oil my ends using a little WGO and then put 2 to 3 drops of the Rosemary in my hands and oil my entire head with that-making sure to massage my entire scalp with the rosemary. I am telling you-last month, I know I had more new growth than I have had in a long time b/c at week 4 I was struggling for a touchup.
I do this only 2 times a week b/c I don't like my hair being too oily and weighed down. I thought you were supposed to dilute the rosemary oil since it is an essential oil, but the WGO already has olive oil as its main ingredient, so I am just using a few drops. Now the night before my weekly wash, what I do is take a few drops of WGO oil using the pointed tip on the cap and go all thro my scalp, then I follow up with 2 more drops of rosemary oil right at the very center of my head and do a thorough scalp massage with that. Since my hair is already oily by then and since I know I am getting washed the next day, it doesn't matter about the oil. It has been doing wonders for my ends and I see far less breakage. In addition, I wake up the next morning with super-soft hair and I figure overnight the rosemary oil has had a chance to penetrate my scalp and encourage good growth at the follicles. I hope this helps some and good luck in your quest to find it.

Im using rosemary oil, it seems to help my dandruff and stimulate my scalp. for some of us its too strong to use by itself and should be mixed with a carrier oil like olive or wheat germ.

also i use the Aubrey organics rosemary and sage hair rinse those two ingredients are key to hair follicle stimulation - i think. it sure helps my roots alot, make em soft and managable.

Be blessed.

I used weleda rosemary oil last night to try to end my itchy scalp and it worked very well. I will buy again.

I also use rosemary by (Weleda) i buy mine from the vitamin shoppe. My scalp loves it. It works well as a hot oil treatment. And yes a little goes a long way. Happy Hair Growing! /images/graemlins/cool.gif

I recently added Rosemary essential oil and tea tree oil to my homemade Wildgrowth oil. It really feels soothing to my scalp. Hope it stimulates more growth as well. Bonjour.

I finally bought some rosemary oil for my top secret scalp elixir and DAYUM! This stuff is pricey! I got 100% pure rosemary oil. The guy really stressed that it was 100% pure. He said most "pure" oils do have other ingredients but this stuff was freshly "squozen" from the rosemary leaves. He shows me a 2oz bottle and it is $20! He said the stuff you see for $4 an ounce is not the pure stuff. I reluctantly bought it but as soon as I get back to work I take the top off to smell it and I spill like 1/4 of the dang bottle on my uniform! The good news is this stuff is not as oily as I thought. There is no grease spot or anything on my lab coat but the smell is UNBE-FRICKIN-LIEVABLE!!! It doesn't bother me anymore but now everyone can smell me coming down the hall. I am so mad!!!! /images/graemlins/mad.gif It's not so much that I can be smelled from down the hall but I spilled 1/4 of the bottle and that really pisses me off. TWENTY BUCKS on a two ounce bottle and a quarter of it is on my coat! Oh well. When I get home I am going to add it to my top secret scalp elixir. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif I am playing kitchen chemist like Blkmane (tee hee) I will post the ingredients of my top secret elixir if it works. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

That oil sounds over priced!!! I have a 1 oz bottle that I got at Whole Foods for about 7 bucks. It is 100% pure too.

I use it in home made hair pomade. It has a VERY strong scent so a couple of drops is plenty!!!

Is the OIL better than using the dried herb?

BTW- I've seen what is supposed to be PURE Rosemary Oil in the health food store and at Pearl River Mart (Chinatown) by a company called NOW. It is about a 2 ounce little bottle and it costs $5 at the health food store and $4 in Chinatown.

I don't oil my scalp in the summer months because it is so oily. In the winter months, my scalp gets very dry and flaky, so I mix 10-20 drops of rosemary into a bottle of jojoba oil. I apply it to my scalp every few days (along with a scalp massage). No flakes, no dandruff, and my scalp feels good!

Try looking in your local Cvs or Eckards store in the hispanic isle. 2 oz. bootlle of rosemary oil for 1.29 . i just started to add it af6ter i Surge. Nice sheen
