I braid hair but I am not at my best yet. I have been eyeing the Braids by Breslin DVD for about two months now. I am ready to buy, but I want to hear form someone who has bought it. So, I am looking for views on the dvds!

I bought the bundle but I haven't "used" it yet. I plan on attempting to braid my hair this Friday/Saturday (6/10,11).

I ordered it but haven't received it last week. I hope it's here this week. I'm sure Ashee will get in here and post soon. :yep:

I have it, but I haven't put it to use yet. I like the video. Here is what I posted in another post:

She did quite a few braids of each style on the video. She even shows you how to make the parts and where to section off each braid in relation to the other braids. My mom and I were actually just trying to do a quick review of each style after I got it and we were thinking she needs to hurry up!. That's how detailed she was in showing each braid style. It'll come in handy when we're actually trying to do the braids. You get a 45 minute lesson on each style and you can see what she's doing from different angles. I think you'll be pleased with it.

I bought the 4 in 1 to do the kinky twists in about 3 weeks time. And I WILL be posting pictures. It's well worth it. Get the 4 in 1 it's more cost effective than just buying it for 1 style. I have to send my DVD back though because it's faulty. But all in all very professionally done and she repeats everything for 45 minutes. Much better than the growafrohairlong video IMHO, only in terms of quality I'm talking about.

Pretty Kinks, try looking here: Braids by Breslin DVD Trailers.

I think her quality is very good, as least as far as clarity is concerned, it helped me decide after viewing a few of the trailers (which are almost identical).

Preface: She's emphasizing quality, not showing much detail of the video itself.

HTH!

Actually, my videos just arrived about 10 minutes ago. My puter here at work can't play DVD's :whip: so I'll have to rate them this evening when I get home from the gym.

Thanks, LaNecia.

Ok, I watched both videos last night (skipped a training session  ) to do this!

Here's a link the Two Strand Twists I did last night as a test. I did these on dry hair adding only Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding to each section as I went along. The first 3 twists to the right edge of the photo are of one twist I unraveled, the rest are still twisted.

I only did a few cause I was really tired so excuse the lack of full head shot! They're not great but 100% better than the one I've done in the past! :yep:

This instruction was on the 4 Hairstyles in One Video. All in all, I'm pleased with my purchase.

That looks good. If you did that on your first try, just wait til you get some more practice. You gonna be bad with the kinky twist. Overall, that looks good. The twists are well defined!

:wave:I did a review on it!
She's very repetitive & thorough...
I have twists in my hair when I ordered mine but I prctice braiding up my twists...:look: I love how she angles the camera so that you can see exactly what she's doing... it's like you're in the room with her... Great lighting too!!
She's clear & the music in the background was a nice addition (I liked it...)
-HTH :look:

Thanks ladies....too bad I didn't get this a week sooner, I'd have twists to wear to the Meet and Greet on Saturday! :ohwell:

I agree on your comments on the videos Ashee, the background music was nice, not noisy or distracting at all!

Hey ladies I ordered my Braid by Breslin for Micro Braids on Monday the 6th and I just got took it out rhe mail box today friday the 10. I will watch it today and start my hair on saturday and finish up sunday. I will post pitures with my camera phone my digital camera is not working currently.

I have the Braids by Breslin kinky twist video. It's very informative and easy to understand. The customer service was great too. I ordered my video on a Monday and received it the following Friday.

I'm going order the 4 in one video tonight - I never learned how to braid so I hope this will help me. I can barely make a cornrow.:perplexed

I had the video for a while before I sold it on here. GREAT video IMO. Very professional and close up. She repeats every technique several times and goes slow. I personally couldn't do the braids or anything else she taught on myself very well. I but think I could do a great job on other people...but that's just my strength/weaknesses.

If you really use it and do braids yourself it is worth the money...$40 now and never have to pay $100 for braids again!

I just ordered it this weekend after taking my daughter to the hairdresser for cornrows.
After she washed her hair, she detangled it with a rattail comb.:wallbash:
My daughters hair hardly ever sheds after a wash when I detangle her at home with the Jibree shower comb. I just stared at the hair in the comb.:perplexed When I first started taking my daughter to her she charged 30.00 dollars for cornrows. Well this day she said "that will be 40.00 cause I gave her a "deep conditioner". I watched her put QP Elasta conditioner on my daughters hair and let it sit for about 2 minutes before she rinsed it out. :nono: Her hair did come out cute and all but Im hoping to learn how to do her braids so I can save money and hair. lol

I bought the Beginner's Pack, and I love them, she breaks down the steps very well, and it's a well put together video. I actually braided my daughter's hair using her method, and for the first time, the braids turned out decent (probably would have looked better if my daughter wasn't so busy moving her head), they didn't look home made. I am actually considering getting my hair braiding certificate, that's how much I enjoy. I recommend getting a manican ( i know I spelled it wrong) head with kinky hair to practice on.

Girl I am NOT a hater, I'm down to earth and Afrocentric as they come. But honey girl please DO NOT buy her DVD's. I bought them and giiiirl I was so disappointed that I called and she happened to answer, girl I lit in her like a fire because all she do is merely show you that she is braiding. Breslin is dirty for her vids, she don't give up any game on "how to braid", girl you might as well go sit in the braid shop and watch somebody braid, cause that's all you're gonna get. She ain't right, as a matter of fact I am going to report her to the BBB. She is getting over big time!!! I spent a whole lot of money believing the Sista was proper and I was happy to help a sista who can teach me something. Girl, I am far from slow with an I.Q. of 145 so I know I can comprehend a concept, but she show absolutely no technique in her vids.

I had to log in to answer this, I haven't been here in a minute.

Peace and look to You Tube you can find Sistahs on there who will show you for free with real step by step instructions. One I like is Akimit1114, here's her youtube:

I ordered them last year and I like it. I have not tried to braid my own hair but I will one of these days. lol.
