I've only washed with it one time and it turned my hair an auburn color. Now, my color has been changing from a 1 to a 1b since I texlaxed a few months ago, but it is now a #2 in some areas.

What gives? Has anyone else experienced this?

I used it once or twice last summer, and my hair had a reddish tint

a reddish tint??? I wonder what makes it do that...I just ordered 3 bars. My hair already has a reddish tint naturally...i wonder how red my hair will look.

Oh gosh, so both shikakai oil and poo bar seem to turn one's hair red? I was considering using the oil again after discontinuing it a while back. It seems I won't be using it again after all. Is there anyone whose hair isn't turning red from either the oil or the poo bar?

my hair already has a small red tint from my henna days. It hasn't gotten any more red. I've been using the bar for 3 weeks now, twice a week.

I was using it in my daughter's hair but stop because it was making her hair lighter almost like it was bleaching it.

Nothing pertinent to add... just wondering..... What condition does it leave your hair in after you use it?

I just used it this weekend for the 2nd time within 1 week and I'm not getting a red tint. I have a cellophane in my hair (black orchid) but I would still be able to see the red tint. I do use Dabur Amla Oil as a pre-poo and that's supposed to darken the hair so that may be why.

I use the oil, my hair is redder but i also Henna so I can't really tell. It doesn't matter to me anyway. I only have a problem when I want to put a ponytail on then Its a dramatic color change.

This is so interesting. After using my shikakai bar (red), I was in my car when I noticed in the mirror my hair looked lighter than usual. My hair is basically black but I saw hints of auburn. I told my dh but I didn't think much of it at the time.

Now coming across your post, maybe it was the shikakai bar that turned my hair that color. I do not henna, nor have I put any other products in my hair that would have lightened it.

I too have the Swastik bar and love the smoothness and strength of my hair afterwards. I must say, I have NOT seen any tint of red. My hair is mostly brown with some light brown tint and I also do not henna. I do have a few gray hairs, so it wouldn't hurt if it would turn those some colors!!

What in the bar would make your hair turn colors? :perplexed mine says 100% vegetable oils? and the bar is a red/pinkish color.
