Is a rinse a cure for...

hair that has dried out as a result of putting in highlights? My hair is somewhat breaking and thinning out and I'm almost positive it's because of the highlights. However, I'm tired of the color and the breakage so I'm considering getting a rinse when I get my relaxer around the second week of August. I mean, I know the rinse won't cure the problem, so to speak, but will it at least help?

I am not relaxed, but from what I have read you may want to try a protein treatment followed by a deep moisturizing conditioner before you rinse. That should help cut down or eliminate breakage. HTH

Ditto on this advice. I had SERIOUS breakage due to highlights a few years back. The breakage could have been prevented had I done more deep conditioning treatments (so I was told). Good luck.

A rinse hides the damage. So if the highlighted hair looks fried, for example, it usually covers the damage. But to help the health of your hair, you should probably take the advise above and deep condition...
