is $130 too much for hooded dryer?

Ok, so I need dryer. I'm going to be experimenting with rollersetting and with curlformers to get me through the winter.

This is the closest one I've found to what I'm looking for.

I'm trying to figure out if you all think it is a reasonable price.

It has to be the big hood so I can get a big head full of rollers under it.

I've seen some for 850 watts that runs about $100 but I was thinking the 1200 watt dryer would be better because it would be more powerful.

Any advice or recommendations are greatly appreciated.

I think that you may be able to find one that has greater wattage at about the same price. Now, the only problem is whether or not you will be compromising space for those curlers for the extra watts.

Have you tried pricing using ebay?

ETA: I bought a floor set of this model for $90, it retails at $125 and has 1875 watts

I have this dryer and I highly recommend it. It was my birthday gift to myself this year. I researched a bunch of dryers before I bought this one and I have no regrets. I posted an article on my blog about choosing a hooded dryer. Hope this helps!

Lemme put it to ya like this sis............when it comes to your hair, it deserves the finest! My walkabout hair dryer was $100.00 and I don't regret it nor do I regret my $80.00 steamer. My hair thanks me for all the fine things I've given it. Take care of it and it will make you look fab!

THAT IS MY DAUGHTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If this is the salon dryer on wheels from LCL Beauty, then that is my daughter. This is not the best model that they put out but it is still incredible. You may want to check my blog for my post about my sweet daughter.

I am terribly attached to her. My first one was named Bianca D'amaris Dominicana. IT DRIED MY HAIR IN 45 MINUTES! It usually takes 2 hours under a regular hooded dryer.. even the ones at the salon had me sitting up in there for an hour and 45 minutes. Bianca was my baby. She could blow clockwise and counterclockwise. Unfortunately, due to my harsh handling she has broken. However, the company was willing to fix it for $75. I opted not to send it, but they did send a replacement part.

Anyhoo I purchased the model that you have above.. it isn't PERFECT like Bianca, but it is still amazing. My hair dries in 50 minutes... I HAVE A LOT OF HAIR just like you.

BUY IT. YOU DESERVE IT. Yes, I am screaming. It's the best hair purchase I ever made. Free shipping.

LOLOL...I was trying to remember who said this dryer was her daughter.

Wanted to mention that I use gray 2 in and some light green 3 in rollers under here with no problem. I hope you all love the dryer.

I just got my dryer today and put it together but I have 1 big problem. the height won't adjust. how are you adjusting the heights I can't figure it out or it doesn't work. I literally can't use it.

Yay!!!!! I just figured it out. I think it was jammed at first. Or it took a few tries for the parts to loosen so that the pole could rotate.

If I have learned nothing else on LHCF I have learned to use quality products and quality tools on my hair. I look at it as an investment. That one dryer that you will use for at least a good 5 years or longer will only cost you 2-3 trips to the beauty salon.
