Ion Soft Bonnet Dryer

I have been looking all over for this dryer because of the reviews. I had a Gold n Hot that was similiar to the ION soft bonnet with the exception of the bonnet being gold in color of course. I have the Ion hard top and I like it but I don't like being confined and since I do my hair at night and my homework online I would rather have a soft bonnet. My gold n hot was working fine until it started smoking.

Anyway I kept going back and forth to Sally's for about 3 or 4 months and they didn't have it in stock. So yesterday I ask the lady in Sally's when they will be getting some more in and she looked in the system and saw that the dryer is going to be discontinued soon. She said she probably get some in before it is discontinued but they haven't had them in a while.

Any other suggestions on a good soft bonnet?

The soft bonnet dryer that I use now is by Conair. It's good, but don't get it if you often use big rollers. It becomes a pain trying to stretch the elastic to fit over the rollers without messing them up. I've become interested in the ION Soft Bonnet too; it just looks really weird though, and it looks like it sits on your shoulders. I think I'd be afraid of getting burned from all of that heat.

I've tried the ION Hard Bonnet dryer too. I really did like it, but closing it became too much of a pain. I was scared that I would eventually break it, so I took it back. I may end up repurchasing it again; I dunno.

Nooooooooo why...this is a good dryer. I hope mines don't break down...knock on wood.

I just wanted to bring to your attention that the Ion and Gold n' Hot are manufactured by the same company. I just purchased the Ion dryer from Sally's and when I went to register the dryer I learned this. Buying it from Sally's is a plus because they offer a product replacement program. I got the 2 year extended warranty. I don't quite remember how much it was, but it wasn't expensive at all. Perhaps you could look into buying it off their website.
