Hello....I ran across this board by accident last night while endlessly searching for pics of twist hair styles online....I finally saw one I really liked from a member on this board who posted on here...and after looking around I have been finding a ton of useful information to go along with the ton of information I already have on natural hair....and since I started growin my hair out a lil over a year ago after years and years of perms, color or just lack of proper care Ive come to find out my natural hair is really nice and on top of that Im a message board junkie and this board seems to be very active and I love talking, sharing and learning.

Im confused on all the terminology tho.....I have no idea what some of this stuff means with all these initials people use to describe their hair

:)

Well, welcome to the board! Yeah, it can be intimidating, but you'll pick up the lingo if you hang around here long enough. Read the stickies up top, they are very helpful resources for newbies. :yep:

:welcome3:

I'm sort of a newbie myself. Joined 2 years ago but didn't get serious about my hair care until recently.

You will love this board. The ladies on here are great and don't worry. You'll catch on to the lingo in no time. Once again,

:welcome3:

thnx u guys :)

I started in 06 callin myself gradually growin my hair out ...i attempted to back in 04 and broke down and permed and colored it again.....after awhile of cuttin a lil bit off at a time the difference between the new hair and old hair was so drastic i just took the plunge and did a major chop.....and i been lovin it ever since :)

Welcome to the board!!

You'll love it here ;)

Oh, and just so you know:

"DC"="Deep Condition"
"CW"="Conditioner Wash" (when you wash your hair with conditioner instead of shampoo)
"poo"="Shampoo"
"CON"="Creme of Nature"

....lol...just a few common abbreviations off the top of my head. If you have questions, just ask...there are alot of very helpful women here :yep:
