Well, there are many products that work to grow hair for many members here that have not been "scientifically approved" to grow hair including MN :look:

I've been taking biotin and msm for just over a month, and I've seen an increase in growth. I'd say about an extra half inch a month. My eyebrow are growing in like nobody's business. My lashes are also longer, appear thicker, and are curlier.

I think what the article is saying is that 'there is no evidence' but not that it's ever been studied. It didn't say for e.g. biotin does not increase hair growth or thickness. It said unlikely- which says to me that it really hasn't been looked at. But on LHCF there are lots of testimonies so you actually have more info.

Biotin levels may have been looked at in pregnant women for medical reasons and most physicians would probably not reco a supplement unless it was for a medical reason. So they would certainly reco a healthy balanced diet instead of a supplement especially since you get lots of other nutrients from food. But biotin for hair growth- you know the deal!
