Intense itching after my big chop!!!!!

Since i cut my hair, it has been itching so much especially around my edges and sides. It sorta feels like that itch you get after you shave and my hair isnt a close cut either. I havent put anything on my scalp and my hair is clean...any suggestions? Oh and BTW since having my natural hair for like 3 days I realized that my hair hates petroleum! But it worked wonders on my relaxed hair, My mom said that when i was little she never used grease because it would make my hair hard and dull. I guess that still applies today. However the Olive oil was awesome....more discoveries to come soon!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried deep conditioning? After my big chop, my hair was SO dry. I actually slept in the conditioner and rinsed in the morning. This helped a great deal.

actually i did a hot oil treatment and it helped a lot....its not dry it just itches like hell oh well i guess ill keep scratching
