Indian grocery stores in DC area?

I know there are tons out in Fairfax and Herndon, but any in DC or Arlington/Alexandria? I'd like to pick up some Amla powder and search for other goodies

Oh, my goodness I have been looking for the same thing. Ever since the Indian store I used to go to closed for business I haven't been able to find another one! Let me know if you find something.

Well, I got a list of places from this Indian girl at work (who uses henna and has beautiful, long, black, shiny hair). She said the most well stocked are these places:

Indian A-1 Grocery
4815 Lee Highway
Arlington

Muskan Fine Indian Grocery
956 Thayer Ave
Silver Spring

Dana Bazar
1701 Rockville Pike
Rockville

and Patel Brothers (there are a few in the area)

This is the store I was talking about!!, it was a nice store while it was in business and the owner was nice and helpful but I was surprised to find that it was closed when I visited a while back; they turned it into something else. I may try the store in Rockville though. Thank You

There is one off of columbia pike in arlington too, I don't know the exact address though, but I'll find out.
