Impromptu Interview: Pretty Finger Coils

This lady used Camille Rose Naturals Curl Maker and Eco Styler gel to create beautiful finger coils. It took her 6 hours to install them, and another 1-2 hours to separate them and style them.

Do you do finger coils? How long does it take you? What products do you use? Please share photos!

I used to finger coil all the time. My suggestion would be do smaller sections to eliminate the separating step. There are several pictures of my finger coils in the wash n go thread.

I love the look of finger coils but I haven't done them in years. I did them early on in my natural journey but they would always unravel at the roots even if I set them with a clip and got under a dryer. My hair is fine so they were scalpy so I stopped doing them. I would wear my hair in finger coils every day if they looked full like they did in the back of her head.

Here is a pic of my struggle coils from yrs ago before I unraveled them for a fuller look. They look sad but the end result was the bomb.

I don't do finger coils but I would gladly wear them if I got them done by someone else. Too work intensive. They look beautiful though. Same goes for shingling.
