I'm wondering, do you think your hair can become dependent on MTG/Boundless Tresses

I would love to try BT but what happens if you stop? Does the thicker hair begin to shed or are there any other problems associated with discontinuing these sort of products?

Well I can speak on the MTG. I tried that for a while and then decided to stop. I have not noticed any thinning of my hair.

I have tried other products and have stopped and I have never noticed shedding (the bad kind) or thinning.

These items are all natural at least the BT so I can't imagine there would be this significant difference if you stopped. I have never used BT so again, this is just my opinion on the BT.

Not sure if this is helpful, but wanted to give you my view of at least one of the products.

Well, I gave my hair a rest for about a week from all oils, etc. and I didn't have any shedding or breakage.

That is a good question, though....guess, once my hair get to be where I desire it to be, then I'll stop using BT and see what happens.

That's a really good question. I have tried various topical scalp treatments (women's rogaine being one of the last). I've stopped all of them and have massive shedding now. I just recently found out that the shedding may be due to stopping the treatments. I don't fully understand the reason for this, but it was explained to me that the hair follicle becomes dependent on some treatments and will shed hairs when they are stopped. Apparently this shedding may go on for a month or two. It is horrible!

Please note, I did not notice a lot of shedding when I stopped using MTG. So I can't say that MTG was a problem. But I have used so much in the past it's impossible to really figure out the culprit.

Very interesting. I read a few old posts and I know at least 1 person had a problem with shedding after stopping MTG. That's my only concern.:(

I use MTG pretty regularly, but i do stop sometimes for months, and the only thing that happens is my hair returns to its normal growth rate.
