Im Transitioning!!!!!

Well I have been thinking of going natural for a months now, Ive been relaxed since April 2006, and while my plan was to wait until i reached BSL Relaxed and do it .....as I go along I decided WHY Wait?
What led me to relax was that i always had a hard time getting my hair straight and maintaining straight styles when I wanted to (this is pre LHCF). Now that I am hair knowledgeable and being here shows me that there are techniques to achieve this for My hair...I can have it all
I know that transitioning may be tough but im up for it. I know I can reach out to U when I need to. And my biggest thing would prob just be managing 2 textures till I get there.

I wont be doing the "BC" ...I have a big head and I dont think short hair will be cute on "me".
My "plan" is once i reach BSL to just maintain it at that length trimming the relaxed parts an inch every 2 months..

Funny thing is I was planning on relaxing this friday and have the relaxer and everything.
Wish me luck ladies ...now off to hybernate in the transitioners thread .. my goodness its long

good luck and welcome to the club! Im about 6 months post now but i "might" be BCing from 12-15 months. That transitioners thread is great! i STILL havent read every page of that thing yet!

Done know if you found it yet but theres also a support/challnege thread somewhere about transitioning without the BC. ill see if i can find it.

That's Awesome. I can see in your sig that your last relaxer was in June, so was mine! It is cool to see someone who is at the same progress as me. Will you be posting pics in your fotki?

Yes I plan on having a section in my fotki for it but im waiting till Oct by then ill have a good amount of newgrowth to be document worthy.

I keep going back and forth about transitioning. My last touch up was in June also. My hair has been growing nicely since my last touch up and I am loving the texture of my new growth.
