How do I do this with no heat :( My biggest love is my Chi iron :dinner:

I was texturized for 2 years and struggled so I finally texlaxed- I under process in the back a bit because I ran out of relaxer :lachen:

My biggest struggle was been not using my beloved Chi because I love the shine and sealing in the oil plus my style last longer and detangling is easy.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO how do you deal with texlax hair w/ no heat:blush:
Is doing rollers weekly and using a hard hat dryer considered direct heat?

Help pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

The dryer is indirect heat. When you rollerset, you can use different products for a smoothing effect, like coconut oil or wild gro....etc

How about Curlformers? I love those things. I love that they can give a beautiful curl that looks like a curling iron curl but w/o the heat--even without a dryer--even to natural 4B hair! I've often wondered if wrapping a CF do would give a straight hairdo. I'm yet to get an answer to that. But I imagine texlaxed hair will show a nice smooth do with CFs.

I'm texlaxed and I dont use heat (everything is air dried). I would say washngo's are your friend along with lots of moisture. I find my hair behaves better when its heavily moisturized. Something I also do is wrap my hair and let it airdry. It comes out staight, additionally to get a curly look, I add rollers when it dries. Its like a rollerset.

I'm texlaxed and totally eliminated heat 3 years and I wear my hair straight -- its not bone straight, but smooth with lots of bounce and swing, if you know what I mean. After washing, apply leave-ins, oils, serums, whatever, drape towel around shoulders and let "hang dry" -- I sometimes sit in front of a fan or under vent to speed things up, but basically, just air dry until about 80% dry, then put in a loose bun and tie down. When remove scraf and undo bun, hair is smooth, straight with lots of body and I just "go".

Rollerset under hood dryer is indirect heat is prolly okay. I did this at first when I was getting away from direct heat (blow frying!!) and it worked really really well for me. I discovered the hang dry method by accident -- my freshly done rollset and hood dry got totally soaked and I was on the run and couldn't do anything about it until i got home and was shocked to see my hair was looking pretty good after the downpour -- it had dried smooth, straight and with swing, even tho it had been plastered to my hair by rain hours earlier. Soooo, my next wash, I just let it hang dry and I've never looked back -- my hood dryer has joined my curling iron, flat iron and blow dryer gathering dust in the attic . . .
