I'm taking the plunge

and getting a.... weave.

That's right ladies. The reason is not b/c I want more hair, but less. I really want a short cut(bob), but don't want to cut my hair. I'll probably be getting the install in the next couple weeks, depending on my schedule.

Any words to the wise? Tips, tricks, etc? How long have you left yours in, etc?

I'll definitely post some pics when it's all done.

Great! I hope that you are looking for some growth cuz that is what you're gonna get. I stretched for 5 months with a weave, and it took me 1.5inches away from APL. :;sidebar::Then my scissor happy stylist chopped me back to NL/SL but now I have healthy even hair..

This is not to put you off as i know i'm very unusual when it comes to weave but i tried it once and hated it.

My poor sensitive scalp suffered, the weave (although it was done well with expensive hair) looked wack after 2 weeks. The itching was too much for me. I breathed a sigh of relief after i took it out. I couldn't find a way of moisturising my hair at all.

Never again for me but for lots of ladies it has proven to be a great protective style.
