I'm Officially Disappointed - Macadamia Oil Mask

I didn't see many reviews on this product here, but everyone on YouTube raved about it. I've been wanting to try it for a long time, but it's too pricey for me.

I found the whole line in TJ Maxx. I only bought the conditioning mask. It was $20 for the 8oz jar.

I feel like it did nothing for my hair. It had no slip. My hair was soft, but not more than usual. Should I give it a couple more tries? I really want to take it back.

All that build up to be let down.

Is this the pinkish stuff in the green and brown jar? If so, I've tried it too and it didn't do very much for me either. It wasn't bad but it was incredibly underwhelming. I used up the jar (mixed in oils) and didn't repurchase.

I'm sorry it didn't work for you. I am deep conditioning with it right now and I love it! Thanks for the heads up about TJ Maxx because I paid much more for my big jar. Did you use heat to help it penetrate? I also add some ceramides to mine like grapeseed or wheat germ oil also. But I like it by itself as well.

I just put it on with a plastic cap. I left it for about 2 hours while I cleaned. Even when I first put it on I could tell it wasn't going to work, so I added oil.

This didn't really work for me either. It performed about the same as if I used a drugstore brand and even some of those worked better.

I got the shampoo and conditioner from Marshall's. I didn't like it and ended up using it to wash my weaves/wigs.

This is a bangin dc which was my staple dc until the Macadamia brand changed their formula. But to be fair there are a lot of fake products out there, especially on Amazon/Ebay. I have bought mine from drugstore.com and other places without a problem with the quality or effect on my hair.

I love the macadamia oil products. The nourishing moisture masque instantly detangles hair and leaves my hair silky soft. The healing oil treatment smells so divine gives me shine, no frizz, soft moisture hair. Sorry you guys had a bad experience but one size doesn't fit all.

Wow. I love  love this Mask, both the nourishing mask and the deep repair mask. I have both in the large size and I only use it with heat for 20-30 minutes. It works wonders for my hair. But then again, I'm mildly texlaxed so I don't know if that makes a difference. I'm actually looking to add more of it to my stash before I run out. I get mine from www.sleekhair.com.

I have to admit though, since I started prepooing and using ceramide oils on my hair, my hair seem to respond well to almost anything I put on it. It could also have something to do with the fact that I also started exfoliating my scalp. My hair is just in a happier place right now because I think I'm using the products that maximize the results of my hair treatments.

Nooooo. Lol I thought it was a fluke. Yep it is in a green and brown jar. Ughhhh. I wonder if TJ Maxx will let me return it.

Yes they are great with returns. If you don't have your receipt they will give you a gift card. I took back some joico conditioner not too long ago lol

Hmm, mine is not pink or pinkish. It's more of an egg shell color.

The first time I used the Nourishing mask, it felt that way, but after clarifying my hair and exfoliating my scalp, it felt a whole 180 degrees better. So sorry it didn't work for so many of you.

That's so unfortunate for me too because I live in the Bahamas and I have to order this stuff online so it cost me wayyy more than anyone living in the US, because of taxes and duties. If I was living in the US, I would be hoarding this stuff up.

OMG you from The Bahamas too lol. HEYYY! Yeah those taxes are horrible the vat, stamp tax duty, freight omg 40%duty+stamp tax is murder!

Mines was like beige colored might not be the same product???
@Aggie
Mine was also beige colored. Shouldn't have said pinkish. It wasn't white. Beige would be a better way to describe it.
Maybe they've changed the formula though? I did get mine a couple years ago. I do know it was legit and the same thing from the same company.
Btw I'm also from the Bahamas. :)

Hello Caribben queen. Actually the duty went up to 45% on most imported merchandise. Yes freight charges can also be a real killer too. I hate it.
