I\'m new here
Hey Ladies, /images/graemlins/wave.gif
I joined in Feb and have been lurking. I am so happy to have found this board.
My story:
I have been wearing my hair in weaves for the last 6 years. I wasn't really taking care of my hair the way I should have been As a result my hair was very damaged. My edges are thinning from wearing a straight back weave style. I haven't had a good relaxer in about 2 years. Last week I took the weave out and made an appointment with a hairdresser. She relaxed my hair with Mizani sentive scalp, gave me a good deep conditioning and then blew me out. I ended up having to chop off about 4 inches of dry damaged ends. My hair is now neck length and it's a little shorter in the front where I left the hair out.
My mom is a stylist in SC so she hooks me up with the good stuff. Currently I am using Paul Mitchell's Tea tree line, The conditioner, clarifying shampoo, and the detangler. I also use Tigi oatmeal and honey shampoo and conditioner, WGO and surge. I am working on getting my regimen together and start taking supplements as well.
My goal is to regain its thickness in the front, acheive one length all around and then grow, grow, grow.
Since cutting my hair I still notice that my ends are dry. I don't want my hair to start breaking so what can I do for my ends?
