I'm making a PLEDGE and I NEED you guys to kick my butt if I break it ok!!!

Ok guys, so I failed so miserably at Bootcamp last session. Dropped out after week 2, lol. I'm SUCH a flat iron whore. I flat iron 1-2x/week after a wash/DC/moisturize process. Although I have not seen any damage because I use my iron on low, use Chi Silk Infusion, moisturize and DC, protein when needed, and CLOSELY watch my ends. I've still seen progress.

But the reality is that I want to ween myself off of the flat iron. Some of you are recovered from the creamy crack, I need to be weened off of the tourmaline crack! So I'm making a pledge to do it cold turkey. I'm getting my butt back in Bootcamp immediately for session 2 which starts April 1st. I'm giving myself this weekend to enjoy my last flat ironed look for the next 3 months. I also in some kind of PMS stupor cut off an inch of my hair... Yeah dont ask. I've now HIDDEN the shears from myself.

So here's where y'all come in....

No seriously... I felt the need to put this pledge out in the universe so I stick to it and know that if anyone sees me with my hair straight for the next 3 months that didnt come from a roller set (and you know you can tell), then someone can give me the old .

I also pledge not to cut my hair myself ANYMORE! Not even to dust! I'll just leave that to someone else. Dont know who yet though, lol.

Just a quick tip: it might help to give the flat iron to the STRICTEST friend that you have...that way, you wont even have the option of flat ironing

I think it will help if you find alternatives that will offer similar results like rollersets without heat... you are more likely to stick to this...goodluck

Gosh I love y'all! lol

You guys had me rolling with the responses! Yeah it's really serious, I need to really find other alternatives for now. Since my self trim fiasco, I'm going to stop playing around. Right now, I'm sitting here with a great flexirod set that I used 3 different sized rods with to give a nice layered curl look, so it has a nice fullness to it. I'm going to take my flat irons (yeah I have TWO) and give them to my mom and tell her to just put them somewhere until my birthday (Aug 30)! I'll do a length check then. I've decided my friend will be flexirods, rollersets again, and braidouts.

I picked Flatbush Ave cause it's the easiest place for anyone who knows Brooklyn to identify, lol. Plus you know how busy it is over there by Downtown, yeah I'd be a laughing stock to be grilled down there! lol
