with the urge to length check every other day??? My BF has confiscated my (homemade) growth t-shirt and camera

I pin it up in twists 24/7 but I can't help but to undo the back row or so at night when I'm applyig my Sulfur mix to check.

I'm gonna go buy a natural looking half-wig (La Jay or Creta Girl are the two I'm eyeing right now) to try to curb it. All my other wigs are straight, so maybe having a wig that looks more like MY hair will help soothe the itch, lol.

My little brother says they should make hair rehab just for me. I dunno whether to laugh, or cry because that's sad, and its says a lot that they feel that way, LOL.

Finally someone like me! I would length check several times a day! Knowing good and well that my hair did not grow an inch in 8 hours! LOL! All that pulling and stretching has convinced me I'm doing more damage than good and I've gone to only length checking on wash day! Still too often but I'm driven by results.

Keeping my hair wrapped up keeps me from length checking so often cause it takes too much work wrapping this thick almost BSL around my head. Finally a semi cure for my Hair OCD!

OMG I thought it was just me! I can check my hair before I get in the shower, while in the shower and then again after I get out. It's like I have to make sure I saw what I saw. It's sad I have never in my life have been so consumed with the growth rate of my hair. I just took some pics in Feb and then again this week. There really should be a support group for this...

For me, the feeling only went away with time. After the first six months, I stopped wanting to length check dang week. Then after a year, I only wanted to do it every month. Now, I barely remember to length check when I get my relaxers.

I guess I'm finally just enjoying my hair journey and my hair!

I do that too! I was showing someone a pic of something and had to scroll through like 130 pics of my hair!
