i\'m gong crazy: how do i fix that blinking envelop

the envelope that alerts me that there's a message in my mailbox has been blinking nonstop for the past 2 days and it's driving me crazy! i keep checking to make sure theres not a new message in there, but nothing materializes; what can i do to fix it?

Please read the message you have in your received private messages dated 08/24/03 12:55 PM and the envelope will disappear

Argggh!!! nikos, i've read the message and it's still blinking! oh well, it's not that pressing of an issue; maybe if i ignore it, it will go away. hey, that method worked on my ex...

Funny that you should post this question because I was having the exact same problem. I just fixed it, though. I had to go through the whole list of sent messages and click on the link as if I was going to read them but I didn't. For example, I would click on a name and as soon as the page was displayed I would hit the back button and go on to the next message. I kept doing this until I went through all of the sent messages (even though I read them all before) and when I was done so was that blinking envelope. It was finally gone!

thanx spicee1t, i've fixed the problem though by deleting all of my messages except two very old ones. i was getting really annoyed by that freakin blinkin' envelope lol
