I exchanged my DR conditioner for the Light Elements Smoothing Fluid. I can't wait to use it. You get quite a bit too. :yep: I'm thinking it will be great for roller sets.

Do you think this will work better than the Hang Straight for rollersets? Please let me know how it works for you.

I really like Light Elements Smoothing Fluid for my very fine hair. It's very light. Glad it's working for you! :clapping:

Keep Hang Straight for your rollersets. Use the Light Elements for a finishing shine. ;)

Hang straight, huh? I haven't paid much attention to it. Is it a serum like the smoothing fluid? Is it heavier or lighter? So SP, you wouldn't recommend the Light Elements for roller sets?

IT's a lotion like the Light Elements just thicker. The Aveda lady put some of both in her hand for me to feel. She recommended the HS for rollersets.

Thanks--something else to add to my wish list. :yep:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the smoothing fluid. It doesn't weigh your hair down at all. And it last FOREVER. I've had the same bottle since freshman year...4 years ago!

The Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Fluid is a wonderful serum. I hope you like it as much as I do.

No, it's not a serum. It's like a creamy leave-in, so it's definitely heavier. Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Fluid are good for blow drying (like it mentions on the label) and also good after a roller set.

So this comes in a serum too? I only saw the lotion one that was the same consistancy as the Hang Straight. I already have 3 bottles of the brilliant serum ( EBAY BABY!!!) so is the light elements fluid comparible to the brilliant serum? Im totally confused.... see now I have to go by Aveda on my lunch break for clarity..... see what you did?!?!

It is a serum. Remember there are other products in the Light Elements line by Aveda, but the Smoothing Fluid is a serum. HTH.
