Im confused about henna.

Ive been wanting to try Henna on my super fine/thin hair for a while now. ive been doing a little research but im still a little confused. One question is im not exactly sure where i can find some so if i could get some help with that. Also i want my hair to come out red. My hair is kind of dark brown now so how could i get a red color? also what is the best stuff to mix with henna? thanks for the help.
