I tried minoxidil about a year ago. I used the men's formula as suggested by a doctor. To make a long story short it worked, but a bit too much. I grew hair all over my forehead and even had a thin mustache!!! I had to stop immediately!!! Another doctor suggested that I try the women's formula. She said I may just be sensitive to the high dose, or I could be sensitive to minoxidil, period and lower dose would do the same thing. I think I'm finally ready to try it again, but want to know if anyone of you gals have experienced the same hairy situation with minoxidil. I'd also like to know if you were able to make the unwanted facial hair go away with the lower dose.
