..then has anyone here ever used MN for an entire year to yield 12" of growth? That'd be awesome to go from SL to BSL, or BSL to almost TBL in ONE year!! I don't mean to sound greedy, I'm happy for what I'm getting so far but I just started MN'ing three weeks ago, and would like some input from people who have used it longer than me, or maybe even a year. Does the effect wear off?
 
I plan on using MN consistently for a few months so that I can get my hair back to where it was before I cut it.

I started back using MN consistently at the end of November and got a nice amount of newgrowth (virgin hair that wasn't colored). I noticed that more came in after I started MN than before.

It's been 1.5 weeks since I did my 2nd BC, and I'm noticing a change in my picked out fro already. I'm pretty sure that by January 24, 2008 (1 month since 2nd BC), I would have grown an inch...at least I hope so :).

ETA: Oh yeah, I apply it every night and massage it in.
 
I start my MN tomorrow, but I guess I should have asked earlier "how long should we use before taking a break?"
 
Heyyy TSUprincess, are u using the MN straight or in a mixture? If a mixture, what are your ingredients? I'd like to get your rate of growth and I want to be sure I'm using the MN most effectively.

I use the MN w/ a mixture. I just mix it with an oil. The oil I've been using can be bought from the BSS. It's called Mega Care Vitamin E Oil. It comes in a tube. I'm sure you could use any oil, but for now I'm using that one. I use oil to counteract what dryness may come from the MN.

After Jan. 24th has passed, I will update my fotki w/ a BC pic (I only took one, :lol: and the 1 month growth pic from the use of MN.

Add to this please.........what formulation/strength are you using TSU? Is it the Family Dollar brand that everyone is raving about? TIA!

I originally used the Neosporin AF, but I was running low, so I went and bought the Family Dollar MN (man, that's a big tube for only a lil over 5 bucks!). Right about now, my mixture is about 3/4 Family Dollar and 1/4 Neosporin AF, but that's not some special recipe. I just needed some more, and got the Family Dollar one instead of Neosporin AF. I will continue to use the Family Dollar MN since I can get more bang for my buck.

I was thinking Sade7 is/was using mn for over a year i believe, maybe you could pm her?
 
I have only been using MN for a week & I think I already see some unusual growth but I don't want to jump the gun yet ...I took pics on the first day & I will take more pics after I reach 1 month...

So far I am loving the mix I made b/c I could not stand the rotten eggs/burnt rubber stench of yellow sulphur :nono: even though other people raved about how much their hair grew using it...I made my own sulphur oil & everything but I could not take it...

Here is my mix:

Generic MN 2% cream
Generic Capsacian cream
Herbal Tea w/ MSM powder dissolved in it
Peppermint Essential Oil

MSM is another form of sulphur--this version of sulphur has no scent & dissolves in water not oil--a better alternative than stinky yellow sulphur :)

My herbal tea consists of various stimulating & moisturizing herbs

I don't have exact measurements, but there is more MN cream than anything else...if you use too much Capsacian cream or peppermint EO your scalp will be on fire, especially if your scalp pores are open like after washing...I don't know if your scalp will literally burn but it is a very unpleasant experience (let me tell ya)!!!:spinning:

I hope this works...and since I have not noticed any adverse side effects yet, I plan to continue to use this, indefinietly perhaps......

Hey Pistachio!

I haven't been using it for a year yet, but this sounds like a GREAT challenge - something like the MN Dozens (12 inches in 12 months).

If you start it, I'll join!

Check out my fokti. I updated it today. I started MN at the middle of October. I did get some good growth.
 
i am going the full year. from nov-dec (7 weeks) of 07 i got two inches:yep: i'll report my results every two months on my fotki. i am aiming for 10 inches in 08:drunk:

lol @ "MN Dozens", I like that!!! That gives me an idea for a challenge....
 
The Flowers of Sulphur yellow powder does not have a burnt rubber rotten eggs smell. I buy my sulphur in the Islands. bonjour
 
I started late october and I wasnt really applying it religiously until maybe last month. I alternate between a week of applying it every other day after cowashing, and a week of lo mani. I have two inches of growth some places and near two inches others (my crown which grows really slow) I missed out this week because I ran out. I plan on doing this until june or so. You guys can see in my fotki where I was around when I started...I just washed my hair today and realized I'm lined up with my arm pit in the longest part of my hair! To me, its too close to claim APL yet, but most def, by next month, if I continue MN I'll be APL. I wasnt even expecting to be APL until the end of March when I'll reveal my hair to my doubting family.
