...tell me something...does it make a slight buzzing noise when it is on?

Mine does. I can only hear it when it is close to my ear, but it definitely makes a slight buzzing noise.

I'm wondering if mine is defective. If you have this iron, hold it up to your ear and let me know if it makes any sort of noise.

I'd really appreciate it.

Hey blkmane,
I just got mine today in the mail and YES it does make a faint buzzing noise. I had brought a curling iron from Sally's that buzzed like this but much louder and when I returned it (b/c of the buzzing) I was hasseled and the clerk told me that the noise was normal and I laughed in her face b/c i couldn't beleive she would stoop so low 9esp considering their policy on appliance returns) but I guess she was right.

Okay, thanks for replying. Glad to know I don't have to return it.

Yes, there is a bigger Jilbere/Ceramic Tools iron that is 2 inches wide. It looks just like the Hot Tools or Gold N/ Hot Gold flat irons, just with ceramic plates.

Personally, I like the smaller one much better. The large one is a bit too big and a little awkward to use.
