and decide I hate it, can i then go over it again in 6 weeks to make completely straight? if not, what are my options?

, you'll just be doing a corrective. To get the texlax results you want I'd recommend doing a test section or sections depending on whether you have multiple textures (this will really help get your timing down). Also when/if you texlax I'd suggest doing it in sections, at least 2, so that you won't be rushed. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
