YEY!!! Ok so this challenge was only in my head:spinning: but I've had my braids the longest at work!!! Woohoo!!

I started them on 3/26/09 and still going strong. 2 other ladies had 2 strand twists and micros but dropped out of the race ( :lachen:) after a month. I am just in love with my curly braids and plan on keeping them for at least another month. My hair grows really slow to me,:nono: I think 1/4 inch a month so I want to see noticeable growth when I take these suckers out.

:lachen: @ your made up challenge! Yay You! :cup:

I had to take a second look at your location b/c I just took out some micros after only a month. For a second I thought I lost a challenge I didn't even know I was in.

Hahahahaha! I thought you had a hair challenge with your female co workers :lachen: cute. I'm glad you're enjoying your braids! :)

that's so cute -a workplace braids challenge! Congrats!

HAHAHA

Thanks, I want to thank my husband for telling me I keep him guessing even with these braids in.

Look around, if someone is eyeing your newgrowth and they had/have braids too, you could've been in the challenge. I haven't always been like this. I think its b/c LHCF and I'm just so determined to have healthy hair and I know its thriving with these braids.

You would have thought so huh? :drunk: I was kinda paranoid after I posted this b/c one of the ladies who is in another office but works for our company just popped up by my desk and she has had her individuals for maybe a week longer. I felt like we were going battle newgrowth against newgrowth! :swordfigh But she isn't in my same office so she doesn't count. Probably should've read the rules before she tried to outdo me....

I used to wear my micros for 3 months straight. Til my hair matted up something terrible and I would lose hair, defeating the purpose. Be careful. Even w/ washing, conditioning and moisturizing it caused buildup around the start of the braid.

I've seen that before so I'm extra careful. I don't wash/condition my hair while in braids, especially transitioning. The last time I had micro braids out (only in for 6 weeks)it led to my BC. The line of demarcation is nothing to play with!!!!:nono: My leave in is 90% water for that reason.

Thanks for the heads up and your sig inspiration inspired me a couple weeks ago to watch my fat intake!
