Since joining this forum I have been doing a lot of research. I can truly say that this forum is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I promise I will get some pics ups soon. I am waiting until I take my braids out. Anyways,

Does anybody know what the purpose of having sufate free hair products? While grocery shopping today (at the organic food store), I spotted alot of hair products. Reading the ingredients on the labels, many of the products are sulfate free. I am curious since LHCF promotes using sulfur based products. What is the difference and how/what effect does it have on the hair?

sulfates are usually harsh and drying on the hair so some people choose to use shampoos without sulfates in their. sulfur is thought to stimulate hair growth so some members use sulfur based products.
