I want to DYE my hair!!! HELP!!!!

I have a box of semi-permenent color that came with a white liquid and the actual color. I was considering using this but I've heard that a light colored semi won't take on my hair because my hair is on the darker side. So whats a girl to do when they don't want to deal with harsh perm dyes but wants some color?

Does anyone have any pictures of their hair with a semi-permenent color?

BTW: My hair is natural

I dyed my hair textures and tones bronze and it came like you said liquid and white cream. My hair is naturally dark brown and it took pretty well (it's growing out now) I'll try and post a pic of me at the last DC meeting.

PS I'm natural, too. Oh I'd also like to add I am growing out my color because my natural hair looks so much better now and is less frizzy than my dyed hair, so think about that before you dye.

Yes it was permanent. I just noticed your post said semi-perm, I didn't know you had to mix any semi-perms that's why I gave you the advice that I did. Most semi-perms cannot make your hair lighter, they'll only leave a tint on your natural color.

yeah, the semi perm's dont give you a lighter color at all..i have med brown hair and it only darkens mine, wich i didnt want at all.........i want some highlites as well...
i think i will get some 2morrow
