I want to cut my hair in a Rihanna-type haircut...

I would like to suggest getting a sew-in cut like rihanna and see how you like it. That's what I'm doing to transition. Instead of cutting everything off.

I miss my haircut
Mine was similar to hers,but i got it done before her she did,so i took a pic of Kelis' cut to the salon

It was soo cute and can totally be low mani if you know what you're doing(i didn't,and i was flat ironing almost everyday and had split ends out the ***).

I will def go back to this cut one day

Do you have a Pivot Point in your city? They are know for their precision cuts. I wouldn't take a photo to just a regular old stylist and expect them to be able to recreate it. I would go to someone who specializes in cuts, especially for a cut as angular as RiRi's.

Girl you should do it. My hair was little pass my shoulders. I always had it in a bun. One day I noticed that my hair wasnt doing well. i was going crazy. I try so hard to take care of it and it was shedding, so I decided to cut my hair. I was so nerves. When my hair dresser was cutting my hair I cried. SERIOUSLY!!!!! Its about Rihanna style just a little bit longer. I love it. I recieved soooo many toooo many complaints on how great it looks. I remember coming to work super nerves and everyone face was like omg it looks great look at ms rihanna. All i could do was laugh. I have no regrets. My hair is fuller and feels so much alive. Thats why I brought a wig very similar to her hair cut and I trimmed it up a bit to shape my face.

You can also get a weave and duplicate the style. That way you won't have to sacrifice your length and start over when you get tired of the style.

Great place as to where to begin! Everyone here has such great input! I am like some of the other ladies, begin with a photo.

If you like Rhianna's cut, I think I have 1 better for you. Go on YouTube and type this name in the Search = Estelle. Her cut is awesome!!! Very close to Rhianna's and I think it will be a little more versatile for you!

It is always best to take a printed copy of a cut that you would like to have, because it gives your stylist a base as to where to begin with your cut.
