this is a woman applying her own lacefront. she does it step by step and explains everything she does. this may help you to decide if you want one or not. she also has a video teaching women how to take the wig off.

The application in that video seems as though it would be damaging to the hairline. I mean the glue is applied right there where the hairline is.

I think the pic looks fake personally, usually Bey's hair looks great. Tyra wears them too and they usually look good.

You shouldn't put the adhesive directly on your hairline, many add a few inches to their unit so that they'll have the room to move the unit and glue in front of their hairline. I put adhesive in front of my hairline plus I don't use a heavy duty adhesive either. I lost my edges from micros earlier this year and they have been growing back while I wear the lf's.

I agree with all of your comments about the lacefront. I was hoping she would show us what she did with her hair before applying the lacefront. She really did apply the glue to her hair line. All that glue is not for me but I hoped the video helped you ladies in decided to get a lacefront or not. based on the video, i wont be getting one for a while.
