I want hair that swings

For me personally:

Blowdrying and/or flat ironing

Using No grease of heavy pomades

Little oil and products, less is more.

Here are a couple of suggestions:

1. Less is best when it comes to products on the hair
2. Rollersetting the hair always leaves it bouncy and swingy

what can I do to get it? :look:

a good deep cond., a little leave-in, a little biosilk and blowdry and then the flat iron w/a tiny bit of biosilk has mine swanging like a white girl.

my hair is always swinging after my dominican blowout. do a roller set with just a bit of moisturizer. then blowout your hair with very little product if needed.

Thanks ya'll. My huuur is SWANGIN. I applied a little EVOO and a MTG mixture that I concocted, and dried my hair on the lowest setting with the lowest heat (I have a HUGE diffuser) and finger combed. I used my denman styling brush and boar bristle brush to smooth and distribute the oils.

I wish that my husband were home so I could take pics and post the results.

Okay....you are definitely a pure-blooded LHCF'er.....cause, why when I read, "I wish my husband were home..." I thought you were about to say, "so he could see/appreciate my swinging hair"? *lol*

This is what my stylist does to give me the "white girl" swing. She washes my hair and deep conditions it. She places a tiny tiny (quarter size) amount of wrapping foam to my hair and wraps my hair around my head and places me under the dryer FOREVER until I'm all dry. She puts a teeny tiny amount of oil on my hair (almost non existent) and she flat irons my hair with a ceramic iron (usually her chi, sometimes my sedu). I'm telling you that I get the SILKIEST, BOUNCIEST, SWINGINGEST hair that you can imagine and it STAYS that way until I wash it again. hth

I got a Dominican blowout Saturday and now my neck hurts from all that swinging! LOL. Well, the swing is pretty much gone now due to a good workout today. Oh well.

I didn't even think of that.
