Last week I bought an Adore rinse in medium brown. Wanted something a bit lighter than my natural near-black, and I thought it shouldn't be too bad since there's "no ammonia, no peroxide, etc." Plus, I don't have any other chemicals in my hair and I've been treating my hair super-nice for about the past 8 months.
Well, I put it on after a good shampoo and deep condition. When I finished my hair was so brittle-feeling and matted up when wet that I couldn't even get my fingers through it. I had to do another deep condition for several hours to get it back to normal. But ever since then I've noticed that my hair has been breaking more and more and I'm afraid that this is going to turn into a setback. And to add to it, the color didn't even take!
Does anyone have any suggestions? Things were going so well...

. The waves are SICK! I know I've said that before, but oh well

Oh no no! You need a proper deep conditioner hun. You don't have to spend much money at all.. you can go to your local BSS or Pharmacy and buy one for under $5. If you use any type of color on your hair you NEED to DEEP condition. a regular rinse out conditioner (like the one you used) is not able to penetrate the hair shaft no matter how long you leave it on for.
