i really think that "wigging it" is a great way to protect the hair while letting it grow out. There's no tension on your hair, and you can take it off at night and treat your scalp, etc.
Unfortunately, someone has this "gif" on the forum. Maybe you ladies have seen it? i think it's regarding the Ricky Lake Show. These two young ladies are talking, and suddenly one of them reaches over and snatches the other ones wig off.
Just like that. I don't know if the victim was a having a hair journey, or what, but every time i think about purchasing a wig at the BSS, that clip comes to mind.
Plus, one windy day in Oakland, this lady passed by me. I had absolutely no hair at the time, and admired her gorgeous locks. I actually thought it was her hair. And she was white.
Right when she made it to the corner, a big trade wind caught us both. Her wig blew off straight into the traffic. it bounced off two cars and landed in a far lane. The drivers sat there pretty nonplussed about it. It's Oakland..
I ran out to help her, finally picked up her wig and handed it to her. Heck, she was almost as bald as i was.
She snatched her wig out of my hands, and ran down the street. I had never seen a face so red.
