Then we keep the products instead of returning them even if they have a guarantee or your money back because we don't have time to wait two weeks to get ten dollars back! Then we are forced to throw them away, give them away or mix products to make them work and vow we will never purchase again until the company comes out with yet again another product we turn out not to like! :( and for some of us we might find out miracle product after so many purchases from different companies! But I'm making this thread for us to post any websites that have samples so that we can stop crowding our homes with the loads of crap and try them out once and for all with no commitments. Whether is absolutely free or $1.50 for a sample!! So what do you say ladies/gents? Fill us in :)

Re: I think alot of us are pj because we skip the samples & go straight to the main t

Personally, I like to base my routine around products I can find on the ground in stores. So the only "samples" I come across are the travel sizes, and most products I want to try don't have those. I wish they did though. Like you, I'd love to sample something before committing to a full-size jar or bottle.

The only thing I don't like about the samples is that you have to wait but in reality I got so much other product I use that for the time being until it comes. I don't mind if I get to try it and dismiss it without feeling guilty about trashing it

Re: I think alot of us are pj because we skip the samples & go straight to the main t

I like samples too. But alot of times, it is not enough product for my hair. Or I need more than one sample to know if I really like it. That is why I like the product exchange forum on this thread. I can try things I would not have ordered myself (because of price, shipment time, etc). But you definately have a good point. I am a PJ, and I have found my staples. But the products be callin' me :look:

Yeah the quantity of the product is small but it is a sample tho.... But you can have someone else order a sample in their name to get two unless they have a limit per household then you out of luck. But if I was to get a shampoo I use the one I have first and then use the sample shampoo at the very last wash so I know my hair is clean but the last product is the sample and use exp lent of water to spread it but yeah sometimes they are really stingy. But I just ordered the jessicurl daily conditioner and will wash hair and deep condition and apply the daily conditioner(leave in and see how it holds up for 24 hrs.

Re: I think alot of us are pj because we skip the samples & go straight to the main t

I like samples and travel sizes coz it makes it easy to try new things with no major commitment. :yep: I'd buy travel sizes of most products if they were available.

Re: I think alot of us are pj because we skip the samples & go straight to the main t

Some of the Natural Brands have nice size samples i.e. 2-4 ounce sizes which give you a decent amount to 'try'.

Look at Qhemet, Hairitage Hydrations, Afroveda, Marie Dean. And I'm sure there are more than have very generous sized samples.

:yep: hydroquench systems has 4 oz samples for $5 as well

Re: I think alot of us are pj because we skip the samples & go straight to the main t

Giovanni has sample sizes. You can get the travel kit in Target.

Aubrey Organics also has sample sizes.

Some sample size products can be purchased at a lot of places on line: drugstore.com, vitacost, vitaminShoppe, etc.

Re: I think alot of us are pj because we skip the samples & go straight to the main t

One way to search for sample sizes online is to just type in something like "conditioners 2 oz" in google and it will show you a variety.

I dont like sample sizes its usually not enough for my hair. im a pj cause I like having a variety of things to use on any given day even when I get my stash way down ill still keep a few more products than I really need:)

Re: I think alot of us are pj because we skip the samples & go straight to the main t

I have a new found respect for samples :yep: I never cared for them and considered them nothing much....
Now I go to the store and pick up samples first. I prefer samples at this point, I can see if I really care for the product before taking that dip! Especially since my hair wants to act all expensive :look: where they do that at. I am getting her off her high horse and back onto the saddle right now.

IDareT'sHair, What do you like from Hairitage Hydrations? I came across her products from dealing with HQS. But I did not realize she had samples. There were a couple of things that looked interesting :yep:

I want that mango coconut moisturizer so bad I can taste it:)

Re: I think alot of us are pj because we skip the samples & go straight to the main t

I am a reforming PJ and sample sizes are saving my hair and my wallet. I have almost all my staple products down, but sometimes I like to have variety. So I'm trying sample sizes before I commit to full size products from now on.

Here's some of the samples in queue for me to try before the end of the summer.

Re: I think alot of us are pj because we skip the samples & go straight to the main t

Komaza and Henna Sooq are my favorites for samples. I got free samples of both of my new staple products in sample form first. I probably would not have tried them otherwise. The 2 oz. sizes form Komaza are $5 and Henna Sooq can be as low as $.50.

I don't know if you can buy samples from Darcy's Botanicals, but I always got samples in my box when I was ordering from her as well.

I do most of my product shopping online, so whenever I learn about more samples I will gladly pass this information forward.

I know you didn't ask me but I wanted to let you know @cutenss

that Hairitage hydrations products are amazing and natural. I put them in my kids hair and my own with no worries. :yep: and IT really moisturizes your hair for days :yep:

I have used her:

Castor INfusion - I  this stuff
Silk n Aloe - I  this stuff
Jar of Joe ---- She made this based off of one of our own here :) I don't know if she wants to be named LOL. I am experiencing the same results, Soft beautiful and moisturized hair! I have to stop myself from :lick: the container. The scent is to die for. LOL

Happy Hemp is great more like a grease but very light!

This line of products is definitely HIGH quality and well made!

My family members whom I adore and love have ordered from her, and they love the products as well.

they ordered

Avocado cloud (I think that is it)

Peach Pomade

Re: I think alot of us are pj because we skip the samples & go straight to the main t

I guess I have to try some HH :look: And I am not getting samples!

I do purchase samples to test some products, so as not to be stuck with stuff I don't like. If it's a line I've never used, I try to get samples, unless the full size is at a deep discount - I'm looking at you HQS

So besides having a ton of full size products, I also have a ton of samples to work thru :ohwell:. So I do think it is helpful. But size is a factor. I really can't get with a 1oz sample unless it's an oil or butter. 2-4oz is enough to gauge how it works on all my hair and the different textures.

I'm a pj cause momma is one, and gramma was one too :look: :yep:

I want that mango coconut moisturizer so bad I can taste it:)

I have it and love it. The scent is so delicious. It spreads very easily and is very light.

Re: I think alot of us are pj because we skip the samples & go straight to the main t

cutenss I like just about everything I've tried:

I think you would LOVE:

CocoAloe Hydrator (It's a nice lotion)
The Creamy Horsetail, Creamy Macadamia and Creamy Jojoba w/Argan are all nice Creamy Butters
"Spout" It's an identical twin to Brown Butter Beauty's "Mixed Greens" and is also a Fav
Peach Pomade is nice & light and good for this time of year
Mango Tango Cloud and Avocado Cloud Reminds me of BM Luscious Hair Creme and are both nice
"Jar Of Joe" I asked her to develop when I started the Coffee/Tea Challenge and she put her foot in it. *it's excellent*
Happy Hempy Hair is also a nice Hemp-based product it's kind of 'slippery' looking like HV's Green Tea Butter
Coconut Yuzu is a nice light Creme
The Silk N Aloe is nice
The Calming Butter is also nice
The Blackberry & Sage is nice

The only one I didn't care for was the Coconut & Mango *because it was hard* and I like soft/creamy "stuff"

I have the Sweet Butter Pomade to compare it to Oyin Burnt Sugar
and she recently sent me a sample of: Amazon Butter and it looks/smells delicious. I set it aside to try out this Fall/Winter.

Re: I think alot of us are pj because we skip the samples & go straight to the main t

I was coming back in to name a few others but I see @Ann0804 took care of business.

Mozeke, MyHoneyChild has 'sample' sizes and It's Perfectly Natural has 4 ounce sample sizes as well.

Re: I think alot of us are pj because we skip the samples & go straight to the main t

I find going to meetups and hair events are a great source of samples!
I was so inundated with samples in early June that I actually started giving some away! Oh and I'm going to do a giveaway on my Youtube channel for ORS's Curls Unleased, somme Miss Jessies samples and Beautiful Textures samples!

I'm reforming well as a past PJ! :lachen:

Thanks girlies :grouphug2: I appreciates your responses. Now I REALLY am going to have to order me some of that. I think that some of her products will supplement my staples; which are WEN/613 and my beloved Nutress Moisture Protein Pack. I need more post wash/DC products. And something that preferably works with my fine, natural strands. And without the buildup and weighing it down, especially when flatironed :yep: Plus everything looks  and sounds yummy :lick: This might be a good time to implement trying samples only :look:

Njoi Creations via ETSY has samples, and I think Brown Butter Beauty also has sample sizes as well also via ETSY.
